Maritime Projects: independent support from design to delivery

Maritime Projects is pleased to announce the establishment as your ship concept developer and representative. With this partnership of experienced maritime professionals Remko Leinenga and Erik van Prooijen, the company is assisting owners, management companies and builders with all the challenges faced during the development of new ship concepts.

‘We believe that independency is a crucial condition for an optimal ship design’, says Van Prooijen. ‘That goes for dealing with designers, engineering companies, hull builders and subcontractors. Especially in the early stages of ship development, it is important to have your concept realized the way you anticipated. That’s where Maritime Projects steps in. As your representative, we translate your demands into an optimal ship concept, in collaboration with independent experts.’

CONCEPT TO PROVEN PRODUCT
Van Prooijen and Leinenga both have over a decade’s worth of experience in strategic management in the yacht- and shipbuilding industry. Leinenga: ‘It’s our conviction that the development of a new concept should not stop when the sketches are made and ready for engineering. A concept is only as successful as the product proves itself in real life. That’s why we decided to join forces. It allows us  to provide customers with more knowledge, broader experience, and a higher capacity. Between us, Erik and I have comprehensive knowledge of the Dutch maritime industry. We can cover a lot of ground, from initial design, engineering, project definition and tendering, to build monitoring and surveying.’

SHORT SEA, WORK VESSELS AND SUPERYACHTS
Maritime Projects is capable of developing concepts for (super)yachts as well as for short sea and work vessels with many types of special cargo. They have proven themselves capable of developing  concepts for ship owners, brokers and ship yards, while blending into their customer’s organization and anticipating their needs. The company is open for new assignments and eager to start.
